Go Outside!!

We all know that nature can be extremely healing. And if you’re reading this from where I live, it’s full-on Springtime! Flowers are blooming, we’ve had a LOT of rain so everything is lush, and the weather today is absolutely stunning. I’m getting ready to go get outside and take a walk (something I’ve been trying to do every day when I can). Here’s the thing- sometimes taking a walk or just getting up and going outside can be daunting. Maybe you’re exhausted, maybe you can’t find the motivation, or maybe the weather is shitty. I’ve been forcing myself (even in the rain) to take even a 10 minute walk, and the results are undeniable. Especially when I have the chance to do this at the beginning of my day, being outside is incredibly grounding and puts me in a lovely mood. The tulips look juicy and so colorful, the sun hitting my face, there’s nothing like it. That first step outside each day feels like a hug from the universe, and I’m so grateful to be able to bask in its glory. And that’s not to mention the power of exercise- moving your body is scientifically proven to improve your mental health (but we all know that). I encourage all of you to get outside every day, even for a few minutes! I promise it will be worth it.

A few weeks ago, we had tornado warnings and a huge thunderstorm late at night. I needed a spiritual reset, so I sat on my porch and TALKED to the storm. I told the storm my intentions, what I wanted to manifest, and “got it all out.” And call me crazy, but the thunder boomed at just the right times. Mother Nature knows more than we do, and each raindrop has been around for longer than most of our ancestors. Flowers don’t bloom all year round- there are seasons for growing/resting, and seasons for poking our heads up and facing the sun. I’m very into the metaphor of “planting the seed” lately. Things take time, and if you water and nurture your goals and your desires, they too will bloom.

So go dance in the rain, look at a pretty flower, hug a tree for all I care! Just GET OUTSIDE and let nature be your friend.

Xoxo, Bobby
